Mealbot

Mealbot is a web-based application currently being developed for tracking the food you currently have in your pantry or fridge, saving your favorite recipes, planning your meals out, and then automatically generating your grocery shopping list based on the recipes you plan to make and the food you don't have on hand. The goal is to make it incredibly easy to keep track of what you have and what you need, and avoid the frustrating situations where you find yourself exclaiming "I wish I'd known we were out of that while I was at the store!" or "why did I buy that, we already have too much!".

Development was originally started in the Cappuccino web framework with Django as a base, but the current development branch is using jQuery UI to present a rick desktop-style user interface. Since this is a personal project, development has been proceeding at a reduced pace while I handle full-time and freelance client work.
